Nice

Good trance tune. You have some very solid kicks and the melody is fun though a bit repetitive. Also, I really like how your sounds wash in and out with the effects you've put before and after a lot of the bars.

Thank you :D

Getting There

You've got a good rhythm. You might want to spice up your percussion patterns, because right now they're a little stale. Also, your first bass wobble sounds like it's coming through a brick wall to me. Now a lot of other people enjoy that type of bass, so I'm a bit of an outlier, so there's no need to change it because I'm not so appreciative of it.

Other than that, the main issue is the lack of spontaneity and dullness of the piece. You can easily take it to whole new levels with just a few changes, IMHO.

You're making a good first attempt, and I encourage you to keep at it.

Thanks :)

Great

Dude, very nice. I haven't heard an ambient piece this emotionally appealing in a while.

At this point in time, just stay the course. I can't wait to hear a finished product.

SkyeWint responds:

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. I enjoy creating ethereal atmospheres that sound emotionally appealing.

I'll definitely be finishing this, don't worry. Hope you enjoy it when it's done. :)

Wait, oh.

Shit, I accidentally put a 5. Sorry, can I fix that?

Oh well, I guess I lost. This is a pretty good song though. Funky as fukn. Pretty simple, but pleasurable because of it.

I don't have too much to say since it's a pretty sure piece. You've put all the elements together rather well. There's kind of a Secret Frequency Crew feel to it (not to crunch your style into someone else's, but it is reminiscent or inspired sounding).

KKSlider60 responds:

Sure, please review with a 0 score too. XD And yeah, sorry, you lost.
My main inspiration right now is Nine Inch Nails. More tracks are coming soon, so stay tuned ^^
Thank you for your time,

Great Work

This is a great dubstep rendition of a classic Pokemon song. I hate to tell you this, but since Stephen Walking already made a dubstep remix of this, I can't help but compare this to his in my mind.

However, I am also happy to say that I find this one significantly more impressive, and when Stephen Walking's rendition came out I thought it was the shit.

What you have here is well mastered, well organized, and respects the massive dubstep elements that have made modern dubstep so sweet without the sounds becoming muddled and un-pleasurable. Oh it's quite pleasure, right there, in my ear. That sounds pretty creepy doesn't it? Must be this song.

Like I said. Great work.

Solkrieg responds:

Haha, not creepy at all, thanks for such a nice review. I've never actually heard Stephen Walking's version before. I might as well look it up. Glad you still enjoy mine!

Yes

Yes, you should finish this, and I'm digging what you've already done. It's got a monstrous feel to it. Monstrous in a totally good way (though since most people use the word filthy to mean delicious now days, I guess that probably got itself across)

It would be neat to hear what you have in mind for a finished product. Granted I'm listening to this on bad speakers at the moment, but that aside, this sounds quite complete.

Ha, not that my sense of complete is very good either. Anyway, great stuff, great sounds, great organization and great use of BPM changes.

joshlul responds:

Thanks for the good feedback!

Excellent Piece of music.

I haven't sat and listened through a song in quite some time. I'm not sure why but the fluent yet dramatic harmony of synth sounds you've put together have captivated my interest. More importantly, the music brought me into a new world of imagination, and I was not just listening to a song, but was able to enter into the world crafted by the song.

There is a very nice flow to the song that amplifies the rainy background you have set in. It is quite a well thought out piece despite you having put off the project for a while. Nothing exactly feels out of place, although, to me, the few piano notes feel like an abrupt contrast to the rest of the song's depicted mood. However the piece makes excellent use overall of shifting between instruments, and I feel that it is necessary to have those few piano notes to achieve the early and later effects that the piano has on the song, that is creating the main melody that carries into the rest of the piece.

Above all flow is what shines in the song. The flow was great. Thanks for sharing this with the world.

Thank you so much!

Masterbasstion

Very awesome. I really like the style you've gone for here in your work. You've taken a step out of your usual melody style and taken your genre to a whole new level. This is pro stuff.

And yes, great use of Bass. I could fell my head pumping to the beat. Awesome sound bytes too. I am always very impressed with your work, but as said before, this takes it to a whole new level of appreciation.

I also like how you've mixed up the resonation of the piece at various points to give the beat a more lucid tone at points.

Never let your creativity juice levels go below genious.

Vibestyler responds:

thank you forgivensake! i am always very glad to read reviews like this! my friends and family didn't gave as positive comments as you on this track. ;) :)

Nice work thus far

Although, despite it being good you shouldn't just rely on the middle to save the rest of the song.

You have some very creative ideas going on in your piece here. It is a bit slow but it all meshes together fairly well. The first harmonic loop doesn't bode so well with me, but when you get the main melody up and jumping, I'm up and jumping with it.

So it is going rather well although a bit repetetive. Then near the end the melody settles down and allows the drums to take main control, which isn't bad since I'm digging the acoustic echoes you are using. However, I think you could have done more before handing it all over to the beat. It was a popping melody, pretty good I must say, and it's a shame it ended so early in the song. It just doesn't have the same impact anymore after the middle part.

You make up for that more or less with the drum patterns you use, which are pretty rad. However, the end feels a bit weak, as in it leaves me without wanting more. A great song generally makes you listen to it 30 or 40 times.

audiosyncratic responds:

Thanks for taking the time to write the review man! This is an unfinished version. Thanks for the constuctive criticism! (not in a bad way)
